Supported Employment helps clients reach their vocational goal and contribute to the greater community. The first step is assisting individuals as they identify career interests and skills that can be applied in local businesses.
We empower individuals.
Every person who comes to Crossroads has walked a different path. This past year, Crossroads offered services to more than 300 people with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Through the power of our mission, these individuals have reached beyond and achieved their goals of self sufficiency and empowerment.
This year alone, our Residential Living program provided the opportunity for numerous Crossroads clients to enjoy the freedom of independant living in Sioux City, Onawa, Council Bluffs and Missouri Valley...Clients like Kasey and Victoria.
Victoria and Kasey live together in their own house along with two other roommates. With the help of Crossroads staff, all four women are responsible for the upkeep of the house, including paying rent. They all share responsiblities including cleaning, laundry grocery shopping and cooking.
