A MESSAGE FROM OUR CEO
April is National Autism Awareness month. It was nearly 25 years ago the Autism Society started a nationwide initiative to spread awareness and promote inclusion for all, thus ensuring that everyone with autism is provided the opportunity to achieve the highest possible quality of life. Sound familiar? Through the power of CWI’s mission, every day our employees empower our clients to actively seek out opportunities for an enhanced quality of life. Great organizations think alike!
Did you know that one out of every five job referrals gets hired? This month we are launching the re-branding of our Employee Referral Program. As many of you know, if you refer someone to work at Crossroads and they get hired, you as the employee and referral source receives $200! For the entire month, we will be adding another incentive to the program. Any employee who refers a friend to apply and complete an application, will be entered into a drawing for a variety of CWI logoed swag. Our managers will be more involved in recognizing staff who refer people for jobs at Crossroads. Stay tuned! More exciting stuff about this program to follow.
Also this month, we are kicking-off the revamped Employee Service Anniversary Recognition Program. Employees celebrating a milestone work anniversary (in increments of five years) will receive access to a special webpage where they can choose from an array of gifts and awards commemorating their milestone anniversary. Service milestone luncheon celebrations will be held every January in each respective market. We are excited to get this off the ground! If you are an employee whose milestone anniversary took place in 2019 during the months of January, February or March, your manager will be in touch with you soon to select your gift!
Lastly, I wanted to thank all of the employees who played a pivotal role in providing assistance, safety and comfort to our clients who were affected by the flooding. There were clients who had to briefly vacate their homes and several of our programs were temporarily relocated to other sites. We had staff and clients who endured lengthy detours to access programs and office buildings. Through it all, Crossroads staff went above and beyond to make sure our clients were cared for and safe. We were also able to raise over $600 by hosting a Facebook fundraiser. This money has helped pay for hotel accommodations, cleaning supplies and meal for clients. Thanks to you all for your support, prayers and well wishes!
