We sincerely thank you for your support of Crossroads of Western Iowa, and we want you to know that your donations of time, money and support help us to continue the important work we to do to promote empowerment.

Residential Services

Our Residential Services offer various levels of support and assistance for daily living to adults with disabilities and mental illness. This includes giving clients the opportunity to live independently in a residential home setting with up to three other roommates. Depending on the level of the disability for all individuals who reside in the house, Crossroads staff is available onsite on a 24-hour basis if need be.

Crossroads clients experience increased independence and daily living skills. They are exposed to individual and group activities provided by other non-profit agencies like the Special Olympics, Buddy Baseball and Special Friends.

Crossroads staff provides assistance to clients in the following areas:

  • Building relationships with roommates
  • Household furnishings
  • Personal finances
  • Daily activities
  • Household chores and responsibilities
  • Mock emergencies and crisis scenarios
