Night Owl Support Services (NOSS) is a state of the art remote monitoring system that allows clients to live more independently.
This tool is an alternative to paid overnight caregivers; it is for clients whoes personal care plans allow them to have a specific amount of alone time.
Each house with the NOSS system in place has a responder home nearby with a trained CWI staff member. The clients living in the home with the system in place will also receive training on how the system works.
There are no cameras involved. If the door of the home with the NOSS is opened in the middle of the night, the staff member at the responder home will receive a call notifying them of the activity. The clients in the home also have the ability to press a button to contact the responder home if they need to.
